DAY 4—Even if we fall, God will pick us up. |
If we come into trouble when we have given ourselves over to God’s will, He will deliver us by the power of His right hand. Oh, but He keeps a watchful eye over us, never slumbering, nor does He ever turn away from us.
Isaiah 41:8-10 "But you, Israel, are my servant. You're Jacob, my first choice, descendants of my good friend Abraham. I pulled you in from all over the world, called you in from every dark corner of the earth, Telling you, 'You're my servant, serving on my side. I've picked you. I haven't dropped you.' Don't panic. I'm with you. There's no need to fear for I'm your God. I'll give you strength. I'll help you. I'll hold you steady, keep a firm grip on you.’ (MSG)
Psalm 37:23,24—The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in His way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with His hand.
[LRT] The goings of a warrior in God’s troops are determined by the Lord, and he takes pleasure in the way that has been ordained for him. Even though he might stumble under some attack from the enemy, he shall not be cast out of the race, for the Lord remains ever with Him to sustain him in the fight.
FATHER, I rejoice in Your calling. Thank You for placing Your trust in me. But, when I think on the details of the task, I tremble. Oh, I know I must think on You and Your power! Please draw my heart into Your bosom. Teach me to wait on You. Teach me to open myself to You and just let You live in me.
Obedience to His will is the best sacrifice we can make unto the Lord.—Psalm 40:1-17
