My Value Lies in the Redemption

...along with every person we know.

ISAIAH THE PROPHET saw the Redemption that would come. He used words like redeem and Redeemer twenty-four times. Meditating and praying along the lines of his revelation will do much to open us to the love of our Redeemer who valued us enough to send His Son for our ransom. While what Isaiah saw was yet in the shadow of the Old Covenant, it pointed to a reality that is ours now in the New Covenant.

DAY 1--The Redemption makes way for a new people with new strength and new value.

Isa 41:14 Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy REDEEMER... Tit 2:14 (Our Saviour Jesus Christ) Who gave Himself for us, that He might REDEEM us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
• FATHER, sometimes I feel as helpless as a worm before You. You could have squished me, but You didn't. You loved me and redeemed me. Make me now in what You want for Your Kingdom's sake. Help me lie still before You so You can make me strong for it. Teach me that the task is Yours. Reveal to these precious ones I hold before You that Your redeeming love is for them also.
Release from Weakness, Famine, Thirst, and the Oppression of Having no Dwelling --Isa 41:10-18; Eph 3:16

DAY 2--The Redemption brings us into a relationship with God where we need have no fear.

Isa 43:1,2 But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, 0 Jacob, and He that formed thee, 0 Israel, Fear not: for I have REDEEMED thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art Mine. Heb 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put My laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to Me a people.
• FATHER, many fearful memories make it difficult for me to trust You fully. Please heal my thoughts of fearful things from my past. Others I know live with their own private fears. Release them. Please bring us together into the sweet conviction that You will not forsake us, for You love us and You are our Redeemer.

Release from Fear--Isa 43:1-8; Lk 12:7; Rom 8:15

DAY 3--The Redemption opens the way for our help and guidance in the wilderness.

Isa 43:14,16,19 Thus saith the LORD, your REDEEMER, the Holy One of Israel, . . . which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters... I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. Jn 7:37, 38 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto Me, and drink. He that believeth on Me, as the Scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
• DEAR LORD, I long for these I hold before You to know Your Redemption, and the river of life it brings. It seems they live in the wilderness and they have little confidence in Your provision. Open their eyes to know You and see Your hand extended to them in love.

Release from Fear of Trouble--Isa 43:14-21; Heb 4:16

DAY 4--Through the Redemption our sins are blotted out and the curse is removed from our lives.

Isa 44:22--I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto Me; for I have REDEEMED thee. Gal 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us, for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree.
• GREAT REDEEMER, I see it now! There is nothing to hinder my coming to You. My sins are blotted out. The curse is removed from my life. You have taken my sin and my curse. I love You for this. Help me now to live in unhindered and unbroken relationship with You.
The Mediator of the New Covenant--Heb 9:12-15

DAY 5--The Redemption brings release from occult oppression.

Isa 44:24,25 Thus saith the LORD, thy REDEEMER, and He that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself; that frustrateth the tokens of the liars, and maketh diviners mad; that turn eth wise men backward, and maketh their knowledge foolish.
• FATHER, my family has been oppressed by lies and hindered by occult practices. Some of this has been in our ignorance. I repent now for all of us. You have redeemed me. Let the power of Your redemption come over upon these that I hold before You. In Your Name, I release them. Draw them. Bring repentance upon them.

Release from the Devil's Hold--Heb 2:10-15

DAY 6--The Redemption offers escape from poverty.

Isa 48:17 Thus saith the LORD, thy REDEEMER, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teach eth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.
• LORD, I renounce the spirit of poverty simply on the ground that You have redeemed me. I open my life to the economy of Your Kingdom. Lead me in the way I should go to prepare for the difficult days ahead. I hold these others before You so You may reveal Your economy to them also. Let them know Your tender care.

Remembering the Source of Our Blessing--Deut 8:7-18

DAY 7--The redeemed have a hope of restoration after tribulation.

Isa 51:11 Therefore the REDEEMED of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.
• FATHER, help me look through the pain and pressure of today and find the joy of Your presence. Then, nothing else matters. Here are some who have their pains and pressures. Help them find Your presence and Your redeeming love.

The Simplicity, and Power, of Believers when They Newly Come out of Affliction--Acts 2:41-47

DAY 8 --The Redemption brings release from shame.

Isa 54:4,5 Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more. For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of Hosts is his name; and thy REDEEMER the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.
• FATHER, shame from my past still tries to oppress me. I know it hinders my growth and understanding in Your Kingdom. Today I turn this over to the Redemption You provide me. Here are some others that live with their shame. Draw them by Your Spirit into the Redemption.
Brought Back by God's Mercy--Isa 54:1-7; I Pet 2:6

DAY 9--If we are redeemed and still commit sin, God may hide His face from us, but for a moment.

Isa 54:7,8 For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee. In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the LORD thy REDEEMER.
• FATHER, I don't want to grieve You with any sin. I want my life pure for Your Kingdom's sake. But, I must admit there are things with me that I know must grieve Your Spirit. Your chastening is painful to me, not so much for what I feel, but for what I know You must feel. Thank You for loving me enough to correct me.

How God Chastens His Own--Heb 12:5-11

DAY 10--The Redemption provides us deliverance from the attacks of the enemy.

Isa 59:19,20 So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him. And the REDEEMER shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD.
• IN THE NAME OF JESUS, I say to the oppressor, "Depart! My life is free from your interference." • PRECIOUS FATHER, I open myself anew to the triumph over Satan that You give me in Christ. Open the eyes of these I hold before You so they can do the same.
Release from Satanic Oppression--Isa 59:16-21; I Jn 5:18

DAY 11--The Redemption makes way for us to have an excellent purpose before the Lord.

Isa 60:15,16 Whereas thou hast been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations, and thou shalt know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy REDEEMER, the mighty One of Jacob.
• PRECIOUS REDEEMER, sometimes I have felt forsaken and hated. I've felt like a reproach to Your Name. I am ready now to turn from these feelings and open myself to the excellency of Your calling upon my life. Seal me as Your excellent child. Do this work in these I hold now before Your Throne. Let them know that You have an excellent purpose for them.
Brought to Excellency--Isa 60:14-18; Ps 16:1-3; Ps 47:4

DAY 12--We can behold our Redeemer through the eyes of the Prophets.

Isa 63:1,2 Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in His apparel, travelling in the greatness of His strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save. Wherefore art Thou red in Thine apparel, and Thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat? Rev 19:13 And He was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and His name is called The Word of God.
• DEAR LORD, today I take time to behold You, my Redeemer. I want to know more about how deep was that love that caused You to die for me. Fill my heart as I wait before You. Now, here are some who seem to care little about Your love. Send Your Spirit to draw them. Cause them to want to know Your love intimately.
Beholding Our Redeemer in His Death--Isa 63:1-5; MI 27:29-31

THE PSALMISTS, significantly David, had insight into the Redemption. They knew what it meant to be set free from The snare of The fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. Knowing the liberation that the Redemption brings us is what makes it so wonderful a thing in our lives. It is why we pray that others--especially those who are dear and close to us--will know its wonders in their lives.

DAY 13--We desire to be right in the eyes of our Redeemer.

Ps 19:14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, 0 LORD, my Strength, and my REDEEMER. Heb 13:15 By Him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name.
• O DEAR LORD, I want my life to be to the praise of the glory of Your grace by which You redeemed me. Let the testimony of redemption shine through me to these others I am holding before Your Throne. While I pray for them, let them see Your love and grace in me.

Yielding to the Grace that Redeems from Iniquity--Tit 2:11-15

DAY 14--We learn to commit our spirit into the hand of our Redeemer.

Ps 31:5 Into Thine hand I commit my spirit: Thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth. II Tim 1:12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know Whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day.
• FATHER, faithful REDEEMER, thank You for bringing me to the place where I need have no fear, not even of death. I want to live moment by moment committed to You. Help me in this. Help these I am holding before You. All of us waver in this, but I am trusting You to bring us to a place of stability.

Yielding to the Spirit of Power, and of Love and of a Sound mind--II Tim 1:7-12

DAY 15--We have the promise that none of the redeemed shall be left desolate.

Ps 34:22 The LORD REDEEMETH the soul of His servants: and none of them that trust in Him shall be desolate. Jn 10:27, 28 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me: and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand.
• LORD, I am trusting You. There shall come no desolation upon us. We will never be forsaken because You have redeemed us and You are faithful. Take these fearful ones I am holding in prayer. Help them know this of You. Show them Your redeeming power.
Precious Promises of our Redeemer--Mt 5:18; Ps 9:10; Ps 37:28; Ps 94:14; Is 42:16

DAY 16--The redeemed have a song to sing that others cannot sing.

Ps 71:23 My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast REDEEMED. Lk 1:46,47,49 And Mary said,My soul doth magnify the Lord, and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour…For He that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is His Name.
• DEAR LORD, I magnify You. My spirit rejoices in You. You have done a mighty thing in redeeming my soul. I love You and long for Your abiding presence. Therefore I wait before You today and listen for Your voice. I whisper in Your presence the names of these I love. Let them know Your voice and Your redeeming love.
How the Redeemed Sing in the Book of Revelation--Rev 5:9,10: Rev 14:3; Rev 15:3,4

DAY 17--The redeemed have a testimony that others cannot give.

Ps 107:1,2 0 give thanks unto the LORD, for He is good: for His mercy endureth for ever. Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom He hath REDEEMED from the hand of the enemy. Ps 39:3 My heart was hot within me, while I was musing the fire burned: then spake I with my tongue...
• FATHER, loose my tongue so I can speak freely of the redemption that is mine in Christ Jesus. Help me confirm with my life what my tongue speaks. Let my testimony, both in word and in deed, be anointed by Your Spirit to reach into the hearts of these I hold before You.
The Confession that Leads to Salvation--Rom 10:8-10

DAY 18--The redeemed have a hope that others cannot find.

Ho 6:2,3 After two days will He revive us. in the third day He will raise us up, and we shall live in His sight. Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD:
His going forth is prepared as the morning; and He shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.
• DEAR LORD, because You have redeemed me, I have hope--even through sorrow and death. I have confidence that You are more faithful than the sun that comes every morning. I am trusting that the early rain of Your Spirit will come upon my life and make me strong for Your eternal Kingdom. And Your latter rain will come and make me fruitful. Let Your rain fall upon these.

The Hope of the Latter Rain of God's Spirit--Joel 2:23; Zech 10:1; Jas 5:7

DAY 19--Our Redemption is settled in God's Beloved Son.

Eph 1:6b,7 . . .He hath made us accepted in the Beloved, in Whom we have REDEMPTION through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace... Rom 3:24 Being justified freely by His grace through the REDEMPTION that is in Christ Jesus...
• FATHER, it is settled with me. My hope of redemption lies only in the grace extended in Your Beloved Son. I accept my redemption full and complete in Him. Help these I hold in Your presence to know it is only, and completely, in Him. Bring Your Spirit upon them.
One Ransom for All--I Tim 2:1-6

DAY 20--The Redemption Christ obtained for us is eternal.

Heb 9:12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by His Own blood He entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. Heb 7:25 Wherefore He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him, seeing He ever liveth to make intercession for them.
• FATHER, help me live with eternity's values in view. Give me an understanding of Your eternal Kingdom so my life can come into line with its values and its ways. Here are some I hold before You whose values are in line with this age. Draw them to seek Your eternal values.
The Call to Seek Eternal Values--Col 3:1-4

DAY 21--The Redemption obtained for us was at great cost.

I Pet 1:18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not REDEEMED with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition
from your fathers; but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
• GRACIOUS LORD, what value you placed on me! How can I esteem it? It is beyond my ability to know that kind of love--and yet I know it! You brought it to me and lifted me and caused me to know You love me. Thank you, PRECIOUS LORD. Now, here are some others who need to know Your love. I hold them before You
.
The Better Covenant that Seals Our Redemption--Heb 9:13-28

THERE IS A REDEMPTION for which we wait. We ask the Lord to release in us more than an understanding of that for which we long. We ask Him to increase our desire and expectation for the day when we will fully know that unto which we are redeemed.

DAY 22--We travail, waiting for our full Redemption.

Rom 8:22,23 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the REDEMPTION of our body.
• FATHER, this is beyond my comprehension. But, I do know there is a longing in me for yet more. I see--oh, so clearly--that there is a lack in me that can only be supplied by Your full presence. Come upon me by Your Spirit and only increase this longing. I can be satisfied only when I wake in Your likeness
.
The Cry of a Soul Who Wants to Be Like the Lord--Ps 17:1-15

DAY 23--We have the earnest of our inheritance until the full Redemption comes.

Eph 1:13b ... after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
• LOVING FATHER, thank You for sending Your Spirit to abide with us. Thank You for the promise that He will not leave us. I want to yield to Him and know His fullness in my life as You bring us on toward the day of our full redemption. For this, I wait before You.
The Promise that Is Ours Now--Jn 14:16-20

AS USUAL, we don't have space to finish our month. But take the days ahead and go over the precious and powerful Scriptures laid out regarding the Redemption. Let them work their way into your spirit. Feast on them. Let them become written upon the tablet of your heart.
